Getting used to new surroundings

I am now approaching the end of my second week at NTU, and the time feels like it is just flying by, well last week was a little bit of a blur to say the least.
A lot of people said that moving to uni would be hard, leaving your home, family and friends behind but your are never too far away from your family nowadays and meeting new people and exploring this amazing city is all part of the 'university experience'.
Nottingham has truly stolen my heart, every where you look your eyes will fall on the most beautiful architecture whether it will be modern or old, the two work in perfect harmony (but I will always be a little bit more appreciative of the period builds).

Other than actually moving away from home, the most stressful part for me personally was packing. Talk about making a list and checking it twice, I must of had 10 lists and checked them daily; but the biggest challenge was where the hell do I put all my clothes? I mean at home my wardrobe is my pride and joy, but for a girl who loves her clothes down sizing was not an option, not a single item was left behind, and of course I could not forget my shoes and bags ( whats an outfit without them) this goes back to the whole university experience everyone has there own personal struggles right. Yet no matter how prepared I thought I was some things did get forgotten, pants and socks weren't really on my mind in comparison to my winter coats, you don't see them anyway there are just for personal comfort.
One thing that I have noticed about Nottingham after this short period of time is that around every corner you will find the most amazing food places, which is not so good if your; A)trying to watch your spending or B) trying to watch what you eat but everyone does need a little treat every now and again.
The pudding pantry is one of the 'few' places I have visited so far and OH GOD I think I died and went to heaven, not only is it one of the most adorable little cafes the city has to offer but that menu is something else and I would say it probably took me at least 10 minutes to decided what I wanted, my final decision did not let me down.

Talk about heart attack on a plate (or shall I say mug)
If you ever have the chance to visit Nottingham I would highly suggest you pop in for a quick treat and have my new personal fav the 'salted caramel brownie freak shake' and I'm sure you will not be disappointed (well I hope not), I will certainly be making a return visit in the future, maybe sooner than you think.
