I told myself when I first moved to uni that after freshers (a heavy week of getting pissed every night) that I would actually appreciate this beautiful city for what it is, and not the blurred memory of stumbling to a take away at the end of the night. Well that promise didn't last too long, but I have decided to try it again, by now I think that I know the city like the back of my hand but I'm wrong in fact its anything but. So I have decide to remake my promise and start it again.
For anyone that doesn't know me I'm a girl who is crazy over fairy lights, just ask someone who has been into my uni room and the will tell you that when I flick on that switch it like Blackpool illumination, there isn't a single dark corner but I do get through a crazy amount of batteries every couple of weeks. So what could be more suiting then to venture out in the dark on a cold February night and experience Nottingham 'light night'.
I'm glad I braved the elements, because the city of just a glow of different colours, taking on a whole new life of character.
