So after are little panic the other day when we were told we didn't have a hook for are idea and having to in word go completely back to square on, we are some how managed come up with a whole new concept this time with a hook. Hallelujah So far this idea is at its very basic form since I came up with it at about 11 o’clock last feeling very stressed out and sleep deprived, but it will definitely be the idea that we will be taking forward for the rest of this project. The reason as to why I think it has taken us so long to come to this ore refined stage with are ideas it because during task one and two we all had are own thoughts on what we should do, although we were communicating as a group we didn't really said down and had the conversation that this is what we are going to do, this will be are target consumer and this is the main concept we are going for. Don't get me wrong we were all on the same page with wanting certain elements to feature with in are design such as the concept of memories but as a team we just weren't getting there. And task two really didn't help when we practically went off on are own and came up with 4 separate ideas. So what is the idea behind ‘map your scent’ well really I was inspired seeing a travel post on the bus on my way home, and think of past holidays and how I wish I could in a way relive them or experience elements from them again. Who knew public transport could be inspirational? This idea is a fragrance concept to inspire travel and culture, as well as promoting the idea of nostalgia. So just imagine here for a second what I'm trying to create, You consider yourself a well educated and cultured individual, you have a steady income and live with your partner you don't have any kids yet but it's an option for the future. You like escaping whether it's going for a Sunday afternoon walk in the country or a et away to a far away land. Your sat at home planning a holiday or trying to reminisce times from past getaways, you some how struggle to picture what the specific destination is like, you've looked at images but you just can't put you finger on what's missing. Scent is one of the main sense within the human body, so this idea consists of taking inspiration from the Severn continents and creating 4 keys scents that we feel best represent these location. Whether this be traditional plants, flowers and other natural elements. We want it to be a fun experience so each scent will be single note which means that they can be layered on top of each other or worn on their own. This creating a unique opportunity to have some vague elements of personalisation. We aim to give people a more cultured experience, to encourage them to travel more to open their horizons but creating a sense that goes with these events it will overall enhance these experiences and then the next time you want to remember a certain aspect of a holiday you can simple smell the perfume and it will all come flooding back, like a switch has been triggered.
