It's always nice to venture out and explore different cities, London is no exception for me; theres always something going on and something new to explore you never seem to get tired of it (well I don't any way). At the start of the last week I headed down south to do just this, plus some research along the way.

Going to London was part a current project that I am working on as part of my FCP course, we are looking into current trends while working in a group. The trend that I have been looking into is the knotted waist trend, I will talk about this in more depth in another post but what I have noticed at the moment about this trend is that not a lot of people are wearing it although it is in the shops, I feel personally that it is more of a summer trend which is why you it isn't being seen much at the moment, and has recent been included in a number of the S/S 17 catwalks.
Whenever you think of going to a big city like London you always try and do as much as you can in a short space of time but what I have come to realise is to not plan too much, you will probably end up seeing things you didn't expect by just wondering around the streets exploring and slightly getting lost along the way. Planning is always good though, if it is that you want to achieve certain things but no harm has ever come by just letting your feet do the walking and while you take it all in (even though they do that anyway) and if you get excited by the typical tourist things like me then seeing the classic sites of are great capital such as Trafalgar square and Buckingham palace then you obviously have to make some slight detours to get you fix of these timeless sights.

One thing that I absolutely love about London is the wealth of culture and creativity that seems to fill each street, whether its street performers, street art or anything else that you may find ect. They seem to make a day so much more and you could probably spend a whole day just walking round watching these talented individuals and gazing at the amazing master pieces, the city has so much to offer, there always seems to be something new happening.

If your like me and have been to London a number of times then theres always
the places that you have to visit on each trip. One of these places for me is M&M world; don't ask why it's just something I've always done and it might not be everyones ideal place but for a chocolate lover like me then its a definite must see. It just makes me feel like such a big kid with its numerous levels of chocolate heaven. All because I'm almost 20 doesn't mean growing up has to be boring we all have that inner child that just has to come out every now and again.
This time going to London was a little different to pervious visits, although I have been to before on research trips something just didn't feel the same with this trip; now it could of been due to the fact I was surviving of two hours of sleep and heeling heeled (which i probably wouldn't recommend if your going to do a lot of walking) or because we had quite a number of things to complete in a day regarding are trend research, focusing on the retail and consumer element I justice don't know.
